Alissia’s uforia comes from her personal experience. You can expect to work hard in her classes but also leave a little lighter in your heart. Alissia has an ability to connect with clients both physically and emotionally.
Alissia was recruited to teach indoor cycling nearly a decade ago in Los Angeles, and then continued her career in New York and London. Having DJ’d for years, her classes often resemble an energetic dance party!
Alissia was also an actress and model; she has appeared on Strong Medicine, E! Television, Lucky Magazine, as well as in fitness videos, commercials and movies.
In her spare time, you can find her teaching yoga to children, personal training, or hanging out with her family.

Matt’s uforia comes from a place of passion, which is evident in every class he teaches. Find him both singing, dancing and adding flare to his Zumba and Revolutions classes. Matt has an amazing ability to bring a lighthearted spin to his classes, while giving a phenomenal class experience.
Born and raised in San Jose, CA, Matt received his BA in Dance before moving out to New York City to pursue his career. He danced professionally with several modern and contemporary dance companies where he had the opportunity to tour and perform all over the world. He also spent 11 years as a cheerleader and never misses an opportunity to pick someone up or throw them in the air. Life is good! He currently resides in San Jose with his husband Justin.

Jess’ uforia comes from bringing people together to have a good time! Nothing starts the party like a good beat and Jess brings a high-energy, eclectic mix to each and every class.
A competitive figure skater until her teens, Jess struggled for years to find a form of exercise that didn’t feel like a chore. Then she stumbled upon uforia where she found the perfect combination of exercise and fun. Jess encourages you to sing and dance to the music – each class is an opportunity to let loose while making your body stronger!
Jess has a BA from the University of California at Santa Cruz. An accountant by day, she lives in San Francisco with her husband, Jeff, and her Frenchie, Posey, and her two cats.
Lissy brings her uforia from her athletic background. You will work hard and sweat in her class but you’ll also be challenged to go further and try something new.
Lissy draws experience from both the coldest and warmest parts of the US, born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska and university in Honolulu, Hawaii where she earned her B.S. in Kinesiology and Lifestyle Management! Lissy has an impressive athletic background playing Division II softball and most recently figure competitions which has given her a balanced approach to nutrition and exercise.

Shane shares his uforia through his love of music and a healthy lifestyle. During college Shane spent much of his time directing an a cappella group and singing to whomever would listen (willingly or not). If you come to Shane’s class, you can look forward to singing along with him to his favorite tunes!
Struggling with weight for most of his life, Shane made the choice after college to embrace a healthy lifestyle. He started eating healthy, running, cycling, and of course indoor spinning. He is now in the best shape of his life and can proudly say he has lost 100 lbs. Shane started with Revolutions as a student, and was excited to find a great community where he could have fun and maintain his weight, driving him to attend as many classes as he could. uforia has been a big part of Shane’s personal journey to good health and he hopes to inspire others with his love of music and an active lifestyle.
Shane got his BS from Stanford University and lives in Palo Alto with his wife Jenn. He can often be found at one of the many chocolate establishments in Palo Alto consuming dark chocolate “for his health.”
Lauren’s uforia comes from an athletic background and general love of fitness and dance. Her choreography and musical sense whisks you away from the hard work at hand!
Lauren started teaching in 2008 with boot camps in Seattle, but found her true love with cardio kickboxing and hip hop dance.
Lauren’s intention as an instructor is to help her students achieve the healthiest and happiest fitness level for them by making workouts fun as well as challenging. Expect high energy and dance outbursts even in her early morning classes!
Lauren moved to the Bay Area in 2012 for her job as a Software Product Manager at a startup in Palo Alto. She lives in Redwood City with her equally high-energy dog Slater.

Bruce brings us uforia through his stories and experience as an accomplished road and mountain bike rider. Bruce doesn’t ask for much in his class except other than to have fun and “get to work”!
Bruce was a finisher at the 2000 Death Ride and 2001 Ironman Canada. He also won a national championship in the 4-man open division, 24 hours of Adrenalin. He holds certifications in Spinning and Heart Zones Training.
Bruce’s teaching philosophy incorporates elements of the outdoors while getting a great indoor ride.
Asya’s sense of uforia is evident the minute she cranks the music in her Zumba classes! You can not take her class without feeling like Asya really connected with you and gave you an ass-kicking good workout.
Asya is an accomplished international fitness and aerobic competitor and a seven time Bulgarian national champion in sports aerobics: individual and trio. She won 2nd place in the 2002 World Championships. Watch out for her amazing flips and flying splits during class!
Asya also holds a Masters degree in Sports Journalism and a Bachelors degree in coaching aerobic gymnastics from the National Sport Academy at the University of Sofia, Bulgaria.
Heather brings her uforia through her impressive dance and fitness background. Her parents joke that she started dancing before she could walk! She has studied ballet, rhythmic gymnastics, jazz, aikido, middle eastern and african-latin dance styles.
While studying dance and fashion in San Francisco she got hooked on afro-brazilian dance and fell in love with brazilian culture and has traveled back and forth to Brazil for Carnivals and dance workshops ever since.
In addition to dance, Heather is a personal trainer and specializes in Russian Kettlebells.
When not at the studio, you can find her working as a freelance and graphic fashion designer and a jewelry maker. Heather’s philosophy is that a workout should give you more than it takes out of you.

David’s uforia comes from his days in his college a capella group!
David is a programmer by day at SurveyMonkey and of course, a Revolutions instructor by night. We are proud to have David and his talents as part of the uforia team.

Erin shares her uforia through her athletic background. As a four year member of the Stanford Women’s Volleyball team, she loves being challenged physically in a team environment. You’ll be sure to get an endorphin high on the bike in her class! As a Missouri native, Erin’s Midwestern roots mixed with a bit of California flare create an approachable yet fun and challenging work-out experience.
Erin’s dedication to health and wellness manifests itself in her pursuit of a career as a physician. She is currently part of a clinical oncology research team at Stanford’s School of Medicine and will be applying to medical school in the near future.
When she’s not on the bike or in the lab, Erin loves traveling and spending time with her golden retriever pup, Zoli.
Corey uses uforia to combat his high stress life! He relied upon cycling and the intense aerobic exercise to help him keep his sanity in his careers as a corporate executive and high-tech entrepreneur. You can expect an awesome workout, great music and personal attention from Corey’s classes.
Corey has been indoor cycling since 2003 and teaching since 2009 and holds a Spinning certification. He is a regular century rider, has finished the 2010 and 2011 Death Rides and has earned several podium places as a competitive mountain biker.
Raquel brings her uforia through her warm spirit and positive energy. As a former dance team coach and children’s fitness instructor, Raquel searched for her own challenging, stress-releasing workout routine as a Stanford student.
After years of indoor cycling, she was introduced to uforia, where she immediately found the Revolutions dance party vibe irresistible. A kindergarten teacher at a local elementary school by day, Raquel enjoys bringing a fierce and invigorating workout to a more mature audience before work at uforia!
Kelly’s path to uforia started when she was in 3rd grade while doing leg lifts to Pat Benatar in the basement, Jazzercise and Sweating to the Oldies in front of the living room TV. She has been teaching dance fitness since 1999, including jazz, modern, traditional hi/lo, and even Urban Striptease.
Kelly fell in love with Zumba at uforia and is thrilled to now be teaching in the program. Her Zumba motto is: “It doesn’t matter what your dancing looks like — it’s what it FEELS like.” Her high-energy classes focus on the joy of movement and music, and you may be asked to sing along!
While not shimmying in the studio, she is also a health psychologist at Stanford University, where she teaches for the school of medicine, the psychology department, and the continuing studies program. She is the author of The Willpower Instinct: How Self-Control Works, Why It Matters, and What You Can Do to Get More Of It (Penguin 2012) and Yoga for Pain Relief (New Harbinger 2009), and a regular contributor to IDEA Fitness Journal, Yoga Journal, and Psychology Today.
Meli’s uforia has always been one: to make people connect with their inner self through movement. Meli’s high energy classes are always a challenge and an amazing experience.
Meli is a native from Venezuela and she came to the USA to study Graphic Design but she never thought that she would LOVE the Fitness world as much as she loves Design. In 2011, she was selected through the Zumba Committee as a Zumba Jammer (choreographer for Zumba instructors) and since then she travels everywhere to hold workshops for Zumba Instructors. Her fitness certifications include: AFAA, Zumba, Zumba Toning, ZumbAtomic, Aqua Zumba, Piyo, Hip Hop Hustle, Turbokick, among many others. She is also pursuing her ACE personal trainer certification and TRX. Meli believes that continuing education in the fitness world makes you a stronger and more knowledgeable instructor to help others achieve their lifetime goals.
